Screw it!

Have you ever had trouble trying to screw on a lid? Whether it’s replacing the cap on a jar of peanut butter, your nightly face cream, the gas tank lid, or even changing a light bulb (insert your favorite light bulb joke here...), there’s an easy trick that should help with this often frustrating task. Start screwing it in the opposite direction first. Then start to tighten it. This settles the grooves and allows the lid to be aligned so it fits into the right tracks. Try it and stop cursing next time you need to close the toothpaste tube unless your mate has squeezed it in the middle again and you’re frustrated by that.
